COVID POLICY

TAKE TIME TO REVIEW THINGS THAT HAVE CHANGED INSIDE THE STUDIO
  • One additional person is welcome at any lesson with the student or two siblings for a total of two people in addition to the teacher.

  • Have your student use the restroom before coming to the lesson. Students can use my restroom only in emergencies.

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided and required before and after lessons.

  • I will clean the piano keys with hydrogen peroxide between students. This is a safe cleaning agent for the piano.

  • Students will use only the upright piano, and I will teach from my grand piano, maintaining social distance.

  • There is now an air purifier in the studio (MedifyAir MA-40 2.0).

  • Books and magazines are no longer available.

  • Each student will have a dedicated pencil to minimize shared objects.

ITEMS THAT PIANO FAMILIES MUST ADHERE TO
  • Students must wear a mask during the entire lessons. (I will also wear a mask during lessons.)

  • Students will use provided hand sanitizer before and after the lesson.

  • Wait in your car until your lesson time and pick up your student on time.

  • Lesson times will remain staggered.

IN CASE OF ILLNESS
  • I will offer remote lessons if I am ill.

  • Do not send children to lessons while they or an immediate household member are ill or displaying any symptoms related to COVID-19. Remote lessons are always available as an alternative.

  • I reserve the right to switch to remote-only lessons depending on COVID-19 conditions within our area.

  • As we schedule lessons for the Fall Semester, day lessons will be available for students. When school resumes its full schedule, the schedule will be adjusted accordingly.

  • All of these measures are taken to increase social distancing, decrease interaction between piano families at the studio, and keep my studio as safe as possible for all.

  • At this time, all performance classes will be online.
